A return to comedy

Fulu shared with Daily Sun that she is excited to reprise her role as Dineo after so long, believing that this was the right time to play the role.

“It felt like the right time. I could bring a more mature perspective to Dineo,” she shared.

The actress felt liberated to return to comedy despite the genre’s challenges, and highlighted how the supportive team made the experience refreshing.

Most memorable moments on set

“We were simply allowed to have fun as a group of girlfriends,” Fulu told the above-mentioned publication, reflecting on a fun memory on set. She shared that the girls had an impromptu karaoke scene in the movie.

After production instructed them to memorise a song, the group were then asked to do a drunken karaoke scene. She remembers not having to worry about dialogue, wardrobe checks, and comedic timing.

“I am not the best at improvisation, but having the other women there and feeding off their energy made it easier,” she shared.

New project on the way for Fulu Modibedi

Fulu shares fans should be on the lookout for a new sitcom she finished filming.

“I play a mother of two pre-teens in a light-hearted, family-oriented comedy,” she revealed.

The new show is expected to air on Playroom, DStv channel 300.
