Skipping breakfast can have a negative impact on your health, specifically your heart. Experts say that this habit can lead to risk factors for heart disease.

In order to boost your energy for the day, you must eat a nutritious breakfast as it can improve your concentration and productivity.

“Skipping breakfast isn’t just about feeling hungry, it’s a missed opportunity for nourishing your body and mind effectively,” says Claire Rifkin, a registered dietitian.

According to Dr. Francisco Lopez-Jimenez, a Mayo Clinic cardiologist, it is not beneficial for your heart to skip the morning meal. Numerous studies show that people who skip breakfast have an increased risk of heart disease and many other illnesses. Furthermore, skipping breakfast is not a good idea for people who wish to lose weight.

Healthline states it is true that eating breakfast tends to make people healthier, according to research. As an example, they are less likely to be obese or overweight and are at a lower risk of developing a number of chronic illnesses. Several specialists have asserted that breakfast must be beneficial for you because of this.

These studies indicate a positive correlation between breakfast consumption and health, however, they are observational and are unable to prove the cause, the above health hub adds.

Gaby McPherson, a registered dietitian specializing in community nutrition claims that your health goals may be affected if you regularly skip breakfast and don’t have a strategy for what and how you’ll eat the remainder of the day.
