As the country held its seventh democratic elections recently while celebrating thirty years of democracy, ordinary citizens including Mzansi celebrities shared election content on their social media pages.
Whilst many of us endured long voting queues, some local celebrities took time to send last-minute motivational words to those who were not sure on whether to vote or not. The celebrities were also requesting those at voting stations to be patient with the long queues.
Let us take a look at five celebrities out of the many, who went to cast their vote:
- Somizi Mhlongo – Media darling and businessman Somizi has been vocal about the upcoming elections on his social media pages, adding that he was looking forward to casting his vote. The former Idols SA judge did not only go to vote in the morning, but he did so wearing his nightgown. In true Som-Som style, he paired his nightgown with his clothing brand Sompire tracksuit and Versace designer shades.
