Social media users and friends flooded Siya’s comment section as they expressed that the boy takes after him:

“Siya’s spot in the Springboks squad is in danger. This guy will run circles around his dad.”

“I love seeing this. Dad’s supporting their kids. It’s my fondest memories of my parents as a kid and they still do to this day,” wrote another user.

One user jokingly wrote that they could see Siya’s famous step done by Nicholas.

Another one said: “That’s so cool well done boysie! …. our son, 10 years old also played his first match on Saturday for a club @flrsv85200 here in the Vendee (west coast of France!).”

“Scored three tries…proud moment…. but was told by the coach not to arrive at the changing rooms in Springbok colours … So we bought him SA flag undies,” they added.
