After dedicating an entire TikTok to criticising the lyrics of the popular amapiano song Mnike, an American TikToker recently offended South Africans which resulted in her getting dragged for doing so. People from all over the world have been dancing to the song on social media, which was created by SA’s musicons and DJ Tyler ICU. The song also features DJ Maphorisa.

Tyler ICU’s song Mnike has gained popularity on TikTok and has gone viral with many people hopping along the Mnike dance challenge.

The woman claims that the song has “evil lyrics,” and she later apologised for posting the video after receiving criticism from South African social media users.

“Be careful what you’re listening to in other languages because we don’t really know what they’re saying,” she warns viewers.

She continues by stating that she is a Christian and avoids singing along to anything because words have power.

Chrystal later returned to TikTok to clarify her comments regarding the song after receiving apparent criticism from South Africans who called her out for misinterpreting the song’s lyrics and meaning.

“I am so sorry to the South African community, the last thing I want to do is spread misinformation or talk bad on any culture,” she said in the second video.

Additionally, she claimed that she had misunderstood the lyrics and was “double misinformed.”
