by Ashia Nkontsa

South Africa is inspired by three ladies who opened a restaurant and slept on the chairs in an effort to safeguard it from robbers.

It is now one of the most popular restaurants in Pretoria and its name is Something Sosha, the 3 ladies shared with Kasi Economy that they slept in the restaurant because they couldn’t afford doors for the restaurant .

Starting a business in South Africa is one of the most challenging adventures you can take on, but the three ladies have shown that with dedication everything is possible.

However some people who follow the social media pages of Kasi Development questioned  the story and labelled it as an exaggeration, some comments read:

“Congratulations to them but you can’t open a restaurant without a door, this started from the bottom now we here stories are a bit exaggerated.”

“You mean a robber in South Africa would be scared of breaking & stealing from 3 women,
why do most people feel the need to exaggerate their road to success stories?

“How did they buy stock, chairs etc without buying a door? This struggling stories before making it are becoming wild. Soon its graduation time, you’ll hear “i was hit by a truck on my way to the exam room and write the paper from the morgue.”

Although, their story is questionable to some, these ladies are now business owners of a thriving restaurant and their before and after pictures show resilience and success.

On the 26th of December 2019, 3 friends opened a restaurant. They had to sleep at the restuarant and guard it because it didn’t even have security or doors. Today the restuarant is one of the most popular restaurants in Pretoria. It is called Something Sosha. pic.twitter.com/o6OdUx0pP3
