The Dubai Open follows the Qatar TotalEnergies Open in Doha, where the top women players in the world have another opportunity to rack up significant ranking points and prize money before the WTA Tour heads to North America for the Sunshine swing, from early March.

The action kicked off on Friday, the 13th of February and will conclude on Saturday the 21st. The Dubai Open is a one-week tournament and is currently in the quarterfinal stages.

Matches currently on are Amanda Anisimova playing against Mirra Andreeva, and the current score is 6-2, 5-7, the match is on the 3rd set.

Jessica Pegula of the United States won her match earlier today with 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. Another upcoming quarter-final match everyone is looking forward to is between the young teen sensation Alex Eala and Coco Gauff. Alex Eala is looking for her first major 1000s championship, but 2-time Grand Slam champion Coco Gauff won’t let it be easy to pass. Gauff and Eala’s match starts at 19:00 Dubai time.

Mirra Andreeva, who won the championship last year, looks to take the draw again this year, marking her 3rd WTA 1000 title.
