Match filled with drama
The match remained goalless for much of the game despite both teams creating quality scoring opportunities.
Morocco looked brighter on the brighter side in the opening half, forcing Dutch goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen into several important saves to keep the score level.
However, the Dutch finally broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute when Cody Gakpo finished a swift counterattack, giving the Netherlands side what appeared to be the winning goal.
Morocco refused to surrender, and deep into stoppage time, defender Issa Diop rose highest to power home a dramatic header in the 90+ first minute, sending Moroccan supporters into celebration and forcing the match into extra time.
