Prep and cooking time: 30 minutes
- 500g (1 packet) SPAR Spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons (60ml) SPAR Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic
- 2 cans SPAR Diced Tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons SPAR White Sugar
- 3 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) SPAR Lemon Juice
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Cook spaghetti as per packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, heat oil on medium and add garlic, tomatoes, sugar, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, salt and freshly ground black pepper. Simmer until slightly thick.
- Pour sauce over spaghetti, and add basil leaves. Mix and serve warm.
