BET’s annual celebration of black Black Girls Rock Awards which celebrate balck women who are trailblazers in their respective fields have announced their list of honourees. This year’s event will honour Mary J. Blige with a Star Power Award, #MeToo movement creator Tarana Burke with a Community Change Agent Award, Naomi Campbell with a Black Girl Magic Award and Lena Waithe with a Shot Caller Award.
The event will take place on 9 September, will be hosted by Queen Latifah.
