Face masks might be an extra cost in your beauty procedure, but never underestimate what they can do for your skin. If you’re confused about the different face masks available and when to use them, have a look at this quick guide.

1. Clay masks. Clay masks are great for giving your skin a deep cleanse and for soothing redness and inflammation associated with acne and breakouts. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, then clay masks are a must-have. They contain natural clay properties that absorb excess oil without being overly drying and eliminate toxins and dirt.

2. Gel/cream masks. Gel- and cream-based masks have a hydrating function and are frequently infused with revitalising and rejuvenating ingredients to boost skin brightness and overall appearance.

Sleeping masks. Sleeping masks are creamy masks that are left on overnight instead of night cream. They’re infused with active ingredients that are potent enough to replace nighttime serums and night creams while performing their additional functions.
