Trasnet has launched an investigation after a man, alleged to be one of their employees, sent the internet into a frenzy when he appeared in a video mocking a person living with a disability.
The man, who has been identified as Ndzudzeni Ratshilumela, shared his video where he was imitating a disabled child who was dancing in a video. In the now removed video clip, Ndzudzeni wore a yellow t-shirt and a pair of jeans and started dancing while sitting on the couch, imitating the child living with a disability.

The video went viral on social media platforms, leading to some internet users reporting the matter to Transnet. The organisation took to their X (formerly Twitter) page to share that they view this matter with the utmost seriousness.
“Such behaviour is inconsistent with Transnet’s values of respect, dignity, inclusion, and care for all members of society. Discrimination or the humiliation of any person has no place in our organisation or in the communities we serve.
“Transnet People Management is looking into this matter and appropriate action will be taken,” said Transnet.
Transnet is aware of social media content circulating online in which an individual, alleged to be a Transnet employee, appears to mock a person living with a disability.
