Madlanga to issue a warrant of arrest for Mogotsi if he submits bogus doctor’s note

by Zintle Mdaka

The Madlanga Commission has confirmed that they have received a doctor’s note from the political fixer, Brown Mogotsi.

This is after Brown was not able to testify at the Madlanga Commission on Monday, citing that he was not well and plans to consult a doctor. This led to Madlanga announcing that they will issue a warrant to arrest Brown, if he submits a bogus doctor’s note.

IOL reported that the Commission spokesperson, Jeremy Michaels, confirmed that a medical certificate had been received and would be considered when proceedings resume on Wednesday morning.

“The commission can confirm that Mr Mogotsi has submitted a medical certificate and that it will be considered at the next sitting on Wednesday morning,” Jeremy said.

Following Brown’s non-appearance, Jeremy reiterated that the Commission would not tolerate what it sees as tactical delays.

Security expert Eldred de Klerk says people might have underestimated Brown Mogotsi’s influence. De Klerk believes Mogotsi might be more than just a runner or a fixer. He says Mogotsi might be the one person to link Minister Senzo Mchunu to Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala.
