The winners of eight consecutive South African Premiership titles received a $9.5 million appearance fee, $2 million for defeating Ulsan of South Korea and $1 million for drawing with Fluminense.
Pocketing $12.5 million is the equivalent of winning the South African championship 11 times for a club owned by Confederation of African Football (CAF) president Patrice Motsepe.
