South Africa’s Steyn joins PFL Africa card

The Professional Fighters League has confirmed four additional matchups for its second PFL Africa event, set for Saturday, August 9 at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City in Johannesburg.

The latest additions strengthen a stacked card that will showcase elite Welterweight and Featherweight talent from across the continent as the inaugural PFL Africa season continues.

In Welterweight action, Cameroon’s unbeaten Octave Ayinda (5-0) faces British Boloyang (3-1) of the DRC, while Sanon Sadeck (7-2) of Burkina Faso takes on Guinea-Bissau’s Yabna N’tchala (11-2-1) in a clash of West African standouts.

The Featherweight division sees Nigeria’s Wasi Adeshina (7-3) meet Jean Jacques Lubaya (9-1) of the DRC. This includes South Africa’s undefeated Elbert Steyn (3-0), who will step into the SmartCage against Morocco’s Abderahman Errachidy (4-1).

These join the previously announced main event between Nigeria’s Patrick Ocheme (6-1) and Guinea’s Mohamed Camara (5-2-1), and a co-main featuring Angola’s Shido Boris Esperanca (9-1) vs Ibrahima Mané (14-5) of Gambia.

PFL Africa: Johannesburg marks the second leg of a season that will feature 32 fighters from 15 nations, with four champions to be crowned in 2025. Tickets are available now via TicketPro.

The opening event takes place on July 19 in Cape Town.
