The Professional Fighters League (PFL) is set to bring its elite MMA action back to South Africa with the second PFL Africa event confirmed for Saturday, August 9 at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City in Johannesburg.

Following a historic debut in Cape Town, the inaugural PFL Africa season continues with high-stakes Welterweight and Featherweight bouts as fighters pursue continental glory and a place in PFL history.

Headlining the Johannesburg card is a Featherweight First Round showdown between Nigeria’s Patrick Ocheme (6-1) and Guinea’s Mohamed Camara (5-2-1), two of West Africa’s finest rising stars.

In the co-main event, Angola’s Shido Boris Esperanca (9-1) returns to face Gambia’s Ibrahima Mané (14-5) in a Welterweight First Round clash after an impressive debut win.

The August 9 event will feature some of Africa’s top MMA athletes as the race to crown the first-ever PFL Africa Champions heats up. In total, 32 fighters from 15 African nations will compete across four weight classes during the 2025 season.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, June 12 via TicketPro. Fans are encouraged to book early for what promises to be another action-packed night inside the PFL SmartCage.
