It is quite disheartening to notice that you and your significant other are slowly drifting apart. After all you have invested and all the plans you had together, the last thing you could ever wish for is to lose the spark with your partner.

It all happens slowly and though you may notice certain things, you ignore them in hopes of matters getting better. Unfortunately you might ignore the issue at hand until it is too late to do anything to salvage the relationship.

This situation can be very stressful and heartbreaking when you no longer feel the same amount of love and affection from your partner and there is nothing you can do about it.

If you love your partner and want to save your relationship from falling apart, you should be on the lookout for these signs. If you take measures to remove the issues, you may end up saving your relationship.

Psychotherapy and Counselling Services lists these signs of an emotional disconnected relationship you should look out to:

Your conversations do not flow as easily anymore

When you are emotionally connected to your partner, things like having daily conversations that flow easily should not be a hassle. It should be of concern to you when it feels like you have to have o suck conversations with them.

You argue a lot

It is completely normal for couples to have disagreements every once in a while. However, it shows signs of emotional disconnection when you are constantly bickering and having arguments with your partner.

You do not have sex as often or at all

If your sex life seems to have died out, and you feel like your partner is no longer interested in sex, and is making up excuses to stay out of bed, you should know that everything is not okay and normal in your relationship.

You get annoyed easily

When you are emotionally disconnected with your partner, you’ll notice that you become more irritable. Small things that did not matter now irritate you.

Do not spend much time together

As a couple you should not get comfortable with spending a lot of time apart, unless it is a long distance relationship. However, it should be a red flag to the both of you if you are both in the same city and do not spend much together.
