5 Types of people to avoid dating

Relationships can be very complex, especially if the character of the person you’re with shows signs of being dodgy. You will not be content with relationships that are fake. Yes, it is simple to enter a relationship. All it takes is a few nice words, a few fancy dates, some extravagant gifts, and you’re in.

At first glance, everything could appear to be perfect and rosy, but sooner or later, the true picture emerges.

When red flags are seen, they are usually ignored thinking it’s a once-off situation. But, as they continue to move along, these red flags tend to become serious problems, causing havoc to something that started perfectly.

Nobody is perfect. However, ignoring warning signs can have a more negative long-term impact on a relationship and lead to heartache and grief.

Therefore, when it comes to who we should date, avoid dating these five people. Love is a choice, and we therefore do not want to be toppling over random people with clear red flags.

Don’t date someone who has not healed from their previous relationships

If you get into a relationship with a person who has not yet healed from a previous relationship, you will end up feeling despair, because they might end up comparing you to the person from their past, as they don’t understand that you are not and cannot be that person, thus this will cause more harm than good.

A person who believes in being friends with all of their exes

Being cordial is one thing, but it’s naïve to think that you can rekindle your friendship after a breakup and become true friends, that only exist in movies. While one or two exes-turned-friends can be fine, given the circumstances, insisting every ex should remain your friend is just weird as there is a past there. You disclosed details that no friends would.

Avoid dating your friend’s parents

Moving from being a friend to stepmother/stepfather to your friend is just weird; it doesn’t feel right. It would also be a nightmare if your friend found out that you are having an affair with their dad/mom. Your friend could also blame you for breaking their family apart, it may also not work out in the long run.

Don’t go out with married people

Avoid falling in love with a married man at all costs! Especially if all you want is some friendship or sex without any commitment. Although it’s simple to get carried away in the moment, you must fight the urge, because a man is unlikely to leave his wife for you. He will not commit to you and cheating on his wife should also show you his true character.

Never date a person who is unclear

Relationships need to be set on strong foundations and it is important to be clear about both your feelings, emotions, attachment and anything that you feel is unclear. Statements like “let’s go with the flow,” not putting a label on what you are, ignoring your questions about their past, etc. are all red flags to watch out for.
