Who’s the groom? Internet reacts to bride heavily embracing pastor

A video of a bride falling to her knees at the sight of a man said to be her pastor during her wedding reception has a lot of internet users questioning the woman’s love for her husband.

Shared by the X (formerly Twitter) user @_Bongani__, the video sees the bride leaving her husband’s side to run up to the singing pastor. Once she reaches him, she hugs the pastor’s waist after landing on her knees. Seconds later, the groom then joins his wife, standing centimetres away from the pair during their embrace.

As money is thrown at the bride, she then gets up – with the assistance of her husband – to further hug the pastor as he sings.

“The biggest red flag I’ve ever seen,” @_Bongani__ captioned the video.

Many agreed with @_Bongani__’s caption, with some questioning who exactly the husband is in the video.

Below are a few comments from X users who found themselves in disbelief.

“Call the whole thing off right away. What nonsense is that, from that day on the wife is supposed to worship her husband, such embarrassment, I’d be so angry.”

“You can see the groom has become uncomfortable in that situation and she can’t even be bothered.”
