A video clip of a MojaLove’s Fake Marriage show made its way to popular video platform TikTok, exposing a Pakistan national who married a South African woman and gave her R20 for food  afterwards.

Activist Sihle Sibisi, who is the show presenter went to Mr Ali’s shop to confront him about the fake marriage he cornered Thabisa into.

Upon arrival, the presenter asked Ali if he was married and if so, to who, with the man responding saying, “To one South African lady.”

When asked if he was involve or if they lived together the man said they lived apart as he stays with his brother who also has his son in the house. He added that another reason they weren’t staying together was that his wife was working on the other side.

Sihle went further to ask Ali, when last he saw Thabisa and he dismissed that question with laughter.

The presenter then told Thabisa to tell her “husband” why their reason for the visit, “I came here so that we can get a divorce because you don’t do anything for me, I’m tired of this thing now.”

Thabisa went on to detail how she’s suffering in the squatter camp while legally married to Ali as he wasn’t providing her with anything for the favour she did in order to get him citizenship.

The man responded saying he does give Thabisa R20 to R50 when she asks. Sihle went on to ask when last did Thabisa see her “husband” and she responded saying last year, when he and his brother ordered her to come back from the Eastern Cape to sign more legal documents.

While accompanying Ali to sign, Thabisa added that she told him she was hungry and the Ali gave him R20 to buy food.
