Yesterday, the Minister of Education Angie Motshekga congratulated all matric students on their overall achievement while mentioning some of the class of 2023 matric students who had done exceptionally well, making not just their family names and schools proud, but also flying the South African flag high.
Matric students have worked tirelessly and extremely hard to achieve the pass results they have attained. Some have outdone themselves in obtaining seven distinctions for their National Senior Certificate exams (Distinctions are marks of obtaining a remarkable 80% and above).
While many top achievers have outdone themselves in putting their best foot forward, they have finally witnessed the fruition of their hard work as this means that they will be accepted into some of the world’s most prestigious universities. Their hard work will open all career possibilities that they had aspirations to explore.
As parents and families beam with extreme pride and joy, many families saw this as an opportunity to officially congratulate their children with grand gifts as they deserved them.
The triumph of obtaining seven distinctions for his final National Senior Certificate exit exams has awarded a young man a new gift.
Upon realising and grasping his surroundings, the young man appears ecstatic and in awe as he displays emotions of being in utter disbelief when he sees the garage door open and notices that there’s a car covered with a black cloth and a huge red bow neatly placed on top. As he draws closer steps to his grand gift, he begins to let out tears of joy.
The joyous moment is experienced by those dear to him cheering him on and assuring him as to how deserving he is of his brand new car.
It is evident that the gesture made by his parents caught him by surprise and he was elated to see the brand new car that his parents had purchased for him upon seeing the dedication and commitment he put in being a top achiever in his matric exams.
