Internet users react to a shocking confession by a man who details how he brutally killed his girlfriend on a Facebook live video.

The Limpopo-based man went on the social media platform to detail his reasons behind the gruesome act of stabbing his girlfriend to death.

According to ZiMoja, the man alleged that his girlfriend cheated on him with someone from her work, adding that, after hearing rumours about them sleeping together he decided to kill her.

During the Facebook live, the man was very confident in his confession, saying that this experience should serve as a lesson to others. He said, “I then decided to kill her, I went to her and stabbed her once in the neck and she bled profusely, but I could see that she was not dead and I continued to stab her multiple times all over her body. I then told her to rest in peace and that I loved her. I was angry.”

After doing the live the man is said to have committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree where he left a note that said, “TAKE ME HOME.”

Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the provincial SAPS spokesperson told the above-mentioned source that, “Police were summoned to the scene at a rental place in Ga-Mashamothane village and on their arrival, they found the body of a woman who might be in her late 20s with multiple stab wounds lying outside the rented room.”

While at the crime scene, the spokesperson stated that the police force obtained information that someone (the boyfriend) was hanging in the bushes, adding that, the identities of the deceased would be identified after investigation.

Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the Limpopo police commissioner, stated, “We are deeply saddened by the incident and continue to urge community members who are experiencing domestic challenges to seek help immediately rather than resort to violence.”
