What better way to warm up the hearts of your loved ones than to prepare one of South Africa’s most famous sweet treats, Malva Pudding.

While this dessert comes highly enjoyed and loved in South Africa, we are here to tell you that there is more than just one way to have it besides the traditional way. Add a sprinkle of fun and a dash of flavour and voila! Your taste buds will thank you later. This South African oldie is quite versatile and works well with many flavours.

Here to introduce a not so new concept that will definitely have you licking your fingers and give off a burst of all your favourite flavours in one treat is the Rooibos Malva Pudding.

While this may sound like a strange combination, it is not. The combination of flavours blend well together as the rooibos adds that subtle dash of mystery without overwhelming the pudding at large.

This South African hearty dessert with a sweet, tender and spongy caramelised texture is a comfort treat that never fails to create the sensations of love, warmth and sweetness anywhere in the world.

Often enjoyed with a topping of either custard or ice-cream, what better way than to reminisce over those nostalgic family moments  with the loudest giggles and a serving of Rooibos Malva Pudding in hand.

Providing us with the recipe and guiding us through the preparation of this dessert treat, is Kgomi Carvalho, a food content creator and food photography enthusiast.

The recipe provided serves a large number of 10 – 12 people.
