WATCH: American woman details what she loves about South Africans

While some people in the United States of America may think of South Africa as a jungle with animals roaming around the streets, some of those who take time to visit our beautiful country place it as one of the most beautiful counties they have ever seen.

Personal blogger Christly Jones (@hey_mrsjones), is a US citizen currently living and working in South Africa. Since moving to SA, the social media influencer takes time to correct stereotypes some of the people back in the US have  about South Africa.

Mesmerised by the warmth and the humility of mzansi citizens, @hey_mrsjones addresses issues myths said in US about us not having clean water, she also shares how modern the country is and many others.

She also took some time to share five things she loves about mzansi, adding:

“You guys are literally the kindest people I’ve ever met. Southern hospitality has nothing on the kindness that I’ve experienced from the South African people.”

Speaking of mzansi citizens @hey_mrsjones added, “I love how straightforward you are you guys don’t mince your words, and I’m here for that moment. I feel like so many things are identified as rude and unacceptable to be said in the States, and it’s so hard for people to say things that are true realities of themselves.”

“I love how helpful you are, like walking around and somebody literally sees I’m confused. They just help. A lot of times in the States, people will watch you struggle and not give it a second thought. They don’t care, it’s not their problem.”

She finished off by saying, “I also have to say, as ya’ll I am such a foodie. So it’s the food for me. I have a new skincare routine, I found some South African products, and I think I’m involved. ”
