Trends come and go, but the ‘Rainbow Picnic Challenge’ seems like it is here to stay.

This picnic challenge has each participant bring snacks or food that is the same colour as the colour of the rainbow they have been given.

This trend has many people packing up a picnic baskets and getting out to spend some much needed time under the sun.

Take advantage of this trend to call together your friends for a challenge and to spent some good quality time together. Themed picnics are a great twist on a traditional picnic as this gives your guests a chance to show off their creative sides.

How to get the rainbow picnic challenge right

The main objective for this trend  to get the perfect rainbow picnic is to stick to the colours of the rainbow.

Remember, we want that beautiful rainbow effect to get this challenge spot on. The designated colours are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

Organising the rainbow picnic is fairly easy. First on the agenda would be to choose your lucky guests to join in on the fun.

Once that has been set in stone, the next order of business would be to assign a colour to each guest. You could allow everyone to give their input and decide as a group who should have which colour. But, in the spirit of a challenge, you could spice it up and let each person pick a colour out of hat so that it is a surprise to everyone.

Once everyone has been assigned their colour, the creativity begins. Each person will have to dress according to their colour and then match their food and beverages according to their designated colour.

This is the fun step as you will need to choose the menu of your picnic according to the colours of the rainbow. You still want to be able to enjoy the food and drinks so put your thinking cap on and choose the perfect snacks to accompany you.

This can also be a challenging task, but get creative and coordinate with your guests so that you can make sure your foods and drinks can coordinate with each other as you do not want to bring the same items as everyone else.

A tip for this would be to choose your main items for your picnic basket and other items could be secondary items if they are not exactly the colour.

Once the location has been chosen, it is time to come together for the fun. Document the process for some unforgettable moments of fun.
