TikTok’s favourite runner Nesta gets gifted running gear after videos of her running with her neighbour started circulating online.
TikTok creator @maryke_nel shared videos of her morning runs with her neighbour and domestic worker Nesta. She adds that her running journey with Nesta started one morning when she was running and after greeting her Nesta started running with her. Ever since then, the pair have been running together.
At the beginning of their running journey, Nesta would run with her cleaning attire and flat shoes which can make it difficult to finish your laps, as when running the proper gear is needed to ensure that your feet do not get tired from the long laps you would do.
Due to their videos gaining massive popularity among internet users, Nesta was gifted running gear by the sportswear store Run-A-Way Sport where she got new running shoes and clothes to wear on her runs with Maryke.
After being gifted this gear internet users took to the comment section to compliment Nesta’s physique and willingness to always run. Some TikTok users wished to have someone like Maryke who would motivate them to run and stay fit.
@maryke_nel I’m getting so much feedback regarding Nesta, so I thought I’d share. 😁 So I was on my run, listening to music, and I passed this special lady and greeted her on the passby, then all of a sudden she started running next to me. So I introduced myself and she told me her name is Nesta. We only ran about 100m then she just stopped by her house and told me that she’ll see me tomorrow again. And we parted ways. The next day, I made sure I ran the same time, but no Nesta. So I called her name in front of the house (because I had no other form of contacting her)…eventually she came out all snuggly in her gown and slippers and said we could run “tomorrow”.
