The one thing you should do before summer says goodbye

The summer never lasts and we know this because the weather in our country is forever unpredictable.

You’re enjoying long, sunny afternoons one minute, and then something sharp bursts into the air, hinting at impending change. You must make the most of the season’s golden moments and create a memory that will keep you warm over the winter months before it passes you by.

Go on a spontaneous road trip

Get on the road with the music playing and the windows down! Drive to a secret beach with stunning views – no plans, just excitement and the eagerness to explore.

Throw a braai in the backyard

Bring your loved ones together, light up the grill, and raise a glass to the last few days of summer. A traditional South African braai is the epitome of summertime, complete with delicious meats, refreshing drinks, and unending laughter.

Enjoy a picnic under the sky full of stars

Bring your favourite snacks, spread out a comfortable blanket, and spend the evening stargazing. Under the sparkling sky, enjoy the nice evening wind and have meaningful conversations with your loved ones.

Take a day off for yourself only

Let go of the schedule, disregard the emails, and pursue your passions—sleep late, visit a new café, or go to the beach. Summer deserves a final moment of unfettered self-care.

A Sunset

Choose the ideal location, lay down a blanket, and observe the sky burst into flaming colours. Take in the enchantment whether you’re in a soccer field, on a rooftop, or at the beach.

Give summer the send-off it deserves before it packs up and departs because you’ll want to recall how the sun felt on your skin and how life felt a little lighter when winter winds howl.
