The coziest hot chocolate recipe

Try this fun hot chocolate warm drink to help cozy up the nights, because cold nights have already doomed on us and it calls for chocolate decadence!

SERVES 4| TOTAL TIME 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 200 grams dark chocolate
  • 250ml milk
  • 1 cup pouring cream
  • 1/2  cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tsp icing sugar, approximately
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp mint-flavoured liqueur

Method

  1. Chop 150g of the chocolate and set aside. Shave the remaining chocolate with a vegetable peeler into small curls. set aside until ready to use.
  2. Heat the milk, cream and halved cinnamon stick together in a pot. Simmer gently, uncovered, without boiling, for 5 minutes.
  3. Whisk in chopped chocolate, vanilla extract, sugar and salt,. Stir until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat; discard the cinnamon and stir through the liqueur. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  4. Pour the hot chocolate mixture into heat proof mugs and sprinkle with chocolate curls.
  5. Cozy up with your hot chocolate and a good Sunday night movie and ENJOY!
