With summer and school holidays approaching, you might need time to rest and relax as you enjoy the outdoors, so that you can feel energetic again.

An activity that will make you feel revived and rejuvenated is packing your bags and exploring the Western Cape’s beautiful outdoors. From the West Coast to the Garden Route and everywhere in-between, the Western Cape offers a diverse landscape with some of the best camping spots for all to enjoy.

Here are some holiday resorts you can consider booking for your next trip in the Western Cape:

Blue Waters Resort

It is a five minute walk away from Blue Waters Beach. The resort has electrified and non-electrified sites. It features ablutions, beach access, camping sites, chalets and a conference hall. If you visit this resort, you can enjoy these activities; camping, caravanning, cycling and fishing.

Kogel Bay Resort

This resort is situated between Gordon’s Bay and Rooi Els, and offers affordable accommodation. These have non-electrified sites. As a visitor in this resort, you can camp, bring a caravan, cycle, fish, hike and swim.

It features ablutions, beach access, camping sites, chalets, children’s play area, communal kitchen, parking, self-catering accommodation, footpaths and trails.

Cango Mountain Resort

This resort is an ideal base if you’re hoping to explore the Cango Caves, visit the Ostrich farms, or go for exhilarating walks in the mountains. The resort boasts a small dam, as well as three onsite swimming pools, a large dam, and, to top it all, a beautiful river that flows through the resort.

There is also a youth centre with a 80 people dormitory, as well as a self-catering conference facility (bring own equipment) that caters for up to 60 people, for business persons or organisations seeking the perfect spot to hold undisturbed meetings or naturist outings. Unfortunately, there is no cellphone reception.
