Miss Soweto 2025 unveils Top 20 ahead of Soweto Theatre final

The Miss Soweto pageant has confirmed its Top 20 finalists, revealed at an elegant soirée at the Johannesburg Country Club on 16 October 2025. The line-up brings together a dynamic group of young women with distinct stories, ambitions and a shared commitment to community upliftment.

Now in its 46th year, the pageant returns to the Soweto Theatre in Jabulani on 29 November 2025 for a finale that blends style, culture and purpose. In the weeks leading up to the big night, finalists will take part in a structured development programme designed to build leadership, encourage social impact and prepare them for the responsibilities that come with the crown. It is an approach that places as much emphasis on character and service as it does on stage presence.

Miss Soweto has long been a launchpad for young women who want to use their voices for change. This year’s cohort will be guided through workshops that focus on personal branding, public speaking and community-minded initiatives, with an emphasis on practical skills they can take into their studies, careers and volunteer work. The aim is to ensure that whoever takes the title is equipped to be an authentic role model, both within Soweto and beyond.

Audience involvement remains a key feature of the event. The People’s Choice Award invites the public to support their favourite finalist by voting via WhatsApp. To take part, send “Hi” to 073 065 1066 and follow the prompts. It is a simple way for supporters to add their voice and celebrate the spirit of the competition.

The journey from announcement to coronation is always a whirlwind, but it is also a celebration of talent, resilience and community. With the final set for Saturday 29 November 2025, all eyes now turn to the Soweto Theatre, where three winners will be honoured for their poise, purpose and potential to make a positive impact.

Save the date, show your support, and watch as the next chapter of Miss Soweto unfolds.
