TikTok creator shares his disappointment after buying a Woolworths easy-to-bake vetkoek mix leaving internet users in stitches.
Woolworths has done it again as they are now selling a vetkoek mix that makes baking vetkoek more convenient for people who just do not have time. According to the website, this easy-to-bake mix takes 30 minutes on the stovetop and you just need to add water. It also states that the mix makes 20-25 vetkoeks.
TikTok creator @ray_mahlaka posted a video of himself trying this vetkoek mix. In the video, he states that he followed instructions on the back of the packet but to his disappointment, the result was not what he expected.
“I think the thing that went wrong is my dough did not rise and I knew then it was going to go awry. My vetkoek is so hard that I could hurt someone with these.”
Many TikTok users were concerned that the creator followed the instructions that were given as his vetkoek didn’t come out how he expected.

One user asked the creator if he added yeast and given that it was an easy-to-bake mix nothing needed to be added other than water.
Another user suggested trying Checkers or Spar or even buying a bag of dough.
One user joked that his vetkoek came out hard because he didn’t use the white plate like the one on the packet.
