Man apologises to father for being a carpenter rather than a medical doctor

A Nigerian man had social media in their feelings after he was seen apologising to his father for not choosing the path of becoming a medical doctor as his father requested of him, instead he chose to become a carpenter. 

The man opened up while appearing on the Brekete Family radio programme. The Nigerian man revealed on the show how he went against his father’s wishes to become a carpenter which then lead him to succeeding in his chosen career as he is now a celebrity carpenter.  

The father wanted his son to become a medical doctor, but that was not what the young man wanted for himself.  The man issued an apology to his father who is a lawyer in a video which was captured by the radio publication which has since gone viral.

The man said while appearing on the Brekete Family radio programme that his father should forgive him for disappointing him. 

Appearing in the Brekete Family radio programme, the man said his father, who is a lawyer, should forgive him for disappointing him.

While addressing his father the man told his father that he wants to be close to his father again. According to him, he is not a bad boy and he hasn’t joined any gangs to do bad things. The carpenter said he is using his carpentry work to touch other people’s lives and so much more. 

Many people were touched by the story and pleaded to his father to forgive him, this what they had to say:

One user commented saying: “Wow why will daddy feel his son will make in life if he becomes a doctor. Skillful carpenter is as equal a architect or building engineer part of his training, he can design a building or create any form work, his father’s should be proud of him I know some welders that earn above half a million months for this country.”

Another user said: “Daddy please forgive him, please what’s the guy’s handle I want to see his hard work.”

Another user said: “Some parents and pride 5/6, he’s lucky he has a good son.”
