The introduction of instant messaging platform WhatsApp made the lives of many people easy as people can now video and voice call anyone from all the parts of the world.

With just data, airtime or Wi-Fi connection, the platform is ready to function, allowing you to chat with people for hours non-stop. Soon after its inception, the platform created an option to form groups. People formed church groups, school groups, friendship groups, work groups, family groups and many others.

When sharing family group stories on social media platforms, they are always interesting and hilarious for many social media users. The stories range from drunk uncles, frequent money asked from other member, family feuds and many other stories that can make you forget about your troubles and laugh your lungs out.

In a post recently shared on popular social media platform Instagram by social media meme account @innluu, the account asked users why they left their family WhatsApp groups receiving many comments from the almost half a million account followers.

Internet users were quick to reply with their reasons for exiting their family WhatsApp groups, commenting:

“Mom called me toxic cause I made memes about her, and everyone laughed!”

“My aunt was always sending good morning pictures/videos with flowers all over and depressing songs.”

“I was drunk in a night club and my mom reminded everyone to read Joel 2 and out of curiosity, I guess. I asked who the f@%k was Joel?”

One user shared her uncle’s embarrassing moment, commenting:

“Malome (uncle) sent his smaller nyana (small) parcel by mistake (private part). So, every time he and I would disagree I would just end the argument by sending a little worm ….. so I’m apparently toxic.”

“Here, they created the group… I was added. Asked some uncomfortable question…. yhoo people left the group I was the only one remaining, so had to leave the group and delete it.”

“My dad was addressing me and I responded and my stepmom commented and I said, “I wasn’t talking to you.”
