December holidays are just around the corner. If you are one of those people who are going to have the kids over and are stressing about how you will keep them entertained then you should consider trying the following activities so the kids are not bored.

Here are some of the things you can do to keep kids entertained during the holiday according to ThingsToDoWithKids– which is a parent’s guide to play website.

Do holiday traditions

Traditions are an important part of the December holiday. You can create a holiday countdown calendar with fun activities and treats for each day, however having a holiday ritual that the family can enjoy is also advisable.

Introduce themed games and activities

You can create a holiday scavenger hunt, go caroling or making a holiday themed obstacle course. For the games, you can add a small twist like pin the tail on the donkey instead of pin the nose on the reindeer.

Create fun and festive crafts

There are many crafts kids can try and create during the holidays, some ideas include creating ornaments, decorating cookies and making a holiday scrapbook. This can help them to be entertained and are fun for kids in all age groups.

Holiday baking projects

Having a baking project is fun but also educational for kids, you can always do this by teaming the kids up with rewards for them.

Holidays are a time for family, friends and fun. While it may be challenging to keep kids entertained you can always try and be creative to make it work.
