Mornings can be a drag, sometimes starting the day on a wrong note can potentially kill the energy for your whole day.

Professional people would say, your day is shaped by how your morning unfolds.

According to Bustle lifestyle, in order to have a productive day, you need to wake up earlier than the set time you give yourself to wake up, this will give you room to start your morning schedule relaxed and ahead of time incase something comes up.

However, Asana sees a well organized morning routine as something that promotes wellness and productivity for the day ahead.

A study conducted by Asana also shows, not only is it essential to have a routine that promotes wellness and productivity, being ahead of time helps encourage efficiency.

5 ways that will help you organise your mornings:

Getting enough sleep

Good quality sleep does not only help you to get a better morning but having that 8 hours of sleep kick starts your day on a positive note and you will be left feeling energized.

Alarm is your friend

Firsty, don’t snooze that alarm.

Counting to five after an alarm rings works if you’re committed to having an organised morning.

Set up times

Allowing yourself enough time for everything you do in the morning can help to physically and emotionally prepare yourself for a productive day. Whether you work from home or going to the office.

Daily positive affirmations

According to MindTools, daily positive affirmations are a way to challenge you and to overcome self sabotage and here is what you can do to put yourself on the right track.

  1. Remind yourself of your unique qualities.
  2. Write your affirmations in the present tense.
  3. Believe and say them in a commanding voice.

Breakfast is essential

The word breakfast doesn’t mean a full on “english breakfast”, it could be a fruit salad, a muffin or whatever your preference is.

This meal helps improve energy levels and your ability to concentrate.
