If you think that there isn’t all that much you can do with that big pile of plastic shopping bags that is starting to accumulate, think again. There are plenty of practical ways to reuse plastic grocery bags both inside and outside of the house.

Discover ways you can reuse plastic bags

Reuse them again for your groceries

There’s no reason why your plastic bags should be used for single-use. You can bring your plastic bags to the grocery store to shop. Reuse the plastic bags every time you go for your grocery runs. This is a great way to be environmentally friendly.

Wrappers

Plastic bags are highly helpful in protecting many things, especially when you are moving to a new place. You can easily protect glass items and other things by wrapping them in paper, then in plastic bags for that extra protection.

Using them as gloves

Using plastic bags as gloves is very common, but most people tend to ignore it. Moreover, you do not have to throw away the plastic bags, as you can always wash them and keep using them as gloves again and again until they are damaged or worn out. Instead of buying new gloves, this hack is really environmentally friendly.

You can use it in the car for rubbish

To keep your car clean and to prevent rubbish from accumulating, placing a plastic bag in the car is a smart solution. Everyone can throw their rubbish in the plastic bags, making for easy cleanup when you give your car a full, deep clean.

Use it to wrap shoes

Many people do not like their shoes to touch other items in their suitcase when packing for a trip. This is where recycling plastic bags can help. Wrapping pairs of shoes in plastic bags and then placing them inside a suitcase will help protect everything else in the suitcase. The plastic bags will provide a barrier that will help ensure clothing and other gear stay sanitary and clean.

Use small trash cans

Plastic grocery bags make for great rubbish can liners for places like the bathroom, or kitchens where rubbish bins are a bit smaller. This is a nice way to keep the base of your actual rubbish bins from getting dirty.
