Disadvantages of sending a wrong text

Have you ever sent a wrong text and immediately regretted it- but when you delete it it’s already too late because the receiver has already read it?

The disadvantage of sending a wrong text is some people have lost jobs, partners and their pride all because of sending a wrong text to a wrong person. others even sent indecent pictures to a family WhatsApp group unintentionally and found it difficult to recover after that or even explain what they were doing.

According to experts from Kenny Myers blog, before sending a text or email, always pause and double check for the recipient details if they’re correct. If you have children, you need to put on passwords on your phone or lock it. check for apps that will help for example, every time you send of a text they will ask you, “are you sure?”

It is also awkward being a recipient of a text that is not meant for you, not knowing how to reply or even act like you didn’t receive it. Just this past weekend, Queens Sono actress Pearl Thusi, took to her social media about sending a wrong text with the caption “How do you guys recover”. The Black Panther actor Athandwa Kani, commented saying “YEP!!! Now you gotta be creative as to why… but don’t explain too much tho cos it’s suss.”

Many mistakes have happened, for example, sending eWallet details to a wrong person or sending money transfer to a wrong account can cause a major panic.

How do you even ask for your money back if you can’t reverse it from your bank?

Some have sent wrong messages to their pastors that were supposed to go to their significant others, you might find it embarrassing but some find a bit of giggle about such instances. It is advised to always read your text before sending it and as said above to check if you’re sending to the right recipient.
