Cape Town’s Iron Man Villa costs R250k per night, here’s why

For many people, a quarter of a million can get them a two-bedroom house in the township, or even a brand-new car.

In the opulent Cape Town suburb, Clifton, R250k will get you a single-night stay at the luxurious Iron Man House. The property is made out of concrete, steel and glass.

The Iron Man House also known as Pengilly House belongs to Hanno Pengilly and was designed by world-renowned commercial architect Peerutin Karol who is behind commercial establishments such as the V&A Waterfront’s Victoria Wharf and Wembley Square to name a few.

The current value of the which is currently not on the market is 360 million rands.

This lofty house with two lifts is divided into four levels that incorporate a spa, an entertainment theatre, an entertainment pavilion & the Pods, a main living area, an entertainment theatre, an indoor garden, three swimming pools and a lot more.

The six-bedroom, 10-bathroom property can accommodate around 12 people.  Part of the beauty of this property is that it boasts mind-blowing unobstructed views of the city and Clifton’s beaches. Booking at this high-end property will also give you a view of the Atlantic Ocean and The 12 Apostle Mountains.

The house also has a sauna, a steam room, an indoor heated swimming pool and a jacuzzi.

The Iron Man-inspired lounge also known as the Great Lounge is built like a real spaceship, giving one the Atlantic Ocean Sea views through its glass walls.
