With Valentine’s day just around the corner, it is definitely time to start planning.

Instead of the traditional dressing up and going to your favorite restaurant, why not opt for a home date night. Avoid the crowds and save some money by staying at home. You can make a delicious dinner for two, bond over some games and watch some good Valentines day movies.

If you are choosing to stay in, we have got you with the best valentine’s day movies to stream:

Your place or mine – This romantic comedy will be released just in time for Valentine’s Day on Netflix. A movie that both you and your significant other will enjoy. This movie follows the lives of two best friends who are total opposites. They swap lives for a week and discover what they want isn’t necessarily what they need.

Valentine’s Day – This 2010 movie has a star-studded cast (Julia Roberts, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway, Bradley Cooper, Taylor Swift, we could go on!) in a movie with intersecting storylines.  This movie is about several couples who face struggles related to their love lives while others try their best to find love. However, they try to overcome the challenges to make things work.

Music and Lyrics – This movie follows a washed up 80s pop star who is running out of options when he gets the chance to write a song for the biggest pop sensation, but he’s always been more of a music guy and needs help penning the words. And the lyricist he finds is a bit of an unusual choice.

Love Simon – This movie is a comedy, drama, and romance all rolled into one. Simon is a high school student who has a budding online romance with an anonymous boy you’ll be begging to know the identity of by the end of the movie. The plot twist is that he hasn’t come out yet to his friends and family.
