Battle of traditional attires: Internet users debate on which tribe has the prettiest traditional wear

by Bongiwe Mati
Picture: X

When it comes to traditional attires, South Africa has some of the most beautiful and colourful traditional wear in the world. Yes, in the whole world!

Our African tribes incorporate a playful mixture of colours with rich texture on traditional wear often pairing the clothing items with carefully crafted beadwork that makes one proud to be an African.

Taking to X, a platform previously known as Twitter, internet user @zukolatest opened a debate daring users commenting, “I dare you to post a traditional attire prettier than the Xhosa attire.”
