As one of South Africa’s most renowned wine brands, Nederburg has graced many tables, forming an integral part of special celebrations.

Last week, wine lovers, media personalities and creatives painted Johannesburg red as they gathered at the beautiful Shepstone Gardens to celebrate the launch of the brand’s bold new positioning: Yours to Explore.
The new campaign marks an exciting evolution for the heritage brand. It invites a new generation of wine enthusiasts to discover the possibilities of wine through a fresh and spirited lens. It also creates a journey for wine lovers that is a fun, flexible, welcoming and inviting.

Taking a seat at the Nederburg table, guests had the opportunity to enjoy a mouthwatering menu that took tastebuds on a global culinary journey, paired with Nederburg’s fine wines.
The evening was also an opportunity to learn about Nederburg’s storied history and commitment to excellence.
“Whether you’re exploring your backyard or dreaming of distant shores, our new-look Nederburg wants you to take your place at the table. We’re extending an open invitation to gather, dream, and taste,” shared brand manager Nipho Shongwe.
With availability in over 80 countries worldwide, Nederburg is no stranger to travel. As such, the brand has aligned with travel and adventure influencers to encourage wine lovers to think in colour and infuse their lives with energy, exploration and adventure as they travel to new destinations.
“Whether it’s a sunset picnic in Cape Town, a rooftop toast in London, or dinner with friends in Hong Kong – there’s always a table with Nederburg at its centre. And we’re telling wine lovers: It’s Yours to Explore,” added Shongwe.
A special touch to the evening was the unveiling of the Nederburg signature red travel cloth. Designed with attention to detail, it features elements that reference key moments in the brand’s history.

For example, the crowns on the cloth symbolise Nederburg’s very long-standing award-winning reputation, and the anchors link back to the brand’s past but connote stability and a steadfast focus on quality.
With good food, great wine and live music, the evening was a celebration of bold flavour, cultural connection, and the sense of adventure that lies at the heart of the brand’s bold new positioning.

Ultimately, the event provided a renewed appreciation for Nederburg’s craftsmanship and a deeper understanding of its rich heritage.
