If you are in Cape Town this long weekend, you are in luck. This weekend in Cape Town, there are loads of activities to enjoy for everyone, young and old alike.

The online publications, Secrete Cape Town and Cape Town Magazine, suggest a few activities to indulge in for the whole weekend.

Enjoy comedy on Friday night

Ground Culture Café presents an evening with five to six prominent local comedians performing stand-up acts, hosted by Jarryd Pillay. You can enjoy a few drinks before the event with happy hour offers on beers, bubbles, and spirits.

Indoor picnic

This Saturday, Rekkids Cape Town is bringing you the Ultimate Indoor Picnic for Grownups Experience that promises to deliver on all fronts! “To host this unique party, we’ve located the most amazing (never-used before) location in the bustling city core of Cape Town. Our favourite Vinyl DJs will be spinning trip-hop, hip-hop, and deep house for you!”

Superhero fun run

Join the Spirit Foundation’s annual Youth Day fun run, where you can unleash your inner superhero and dress up, lace up, and run! In honour of the youth, on June 16. There will be an exciting adventure on the famous Groot Constantia Wine Farm’s paths, which will turn into a heroic battlefield.

Go out for coffee

Apart from showcasing their latest specialty coffees and responding to your urgent inquiries, Rosetta Roastery will be occupying CCBHQ’s Brew Bar, to craft, brew, and provide tasting experiences for all coffee enthusiasts! Don’t pass up this opportunity to mingle with some industry giants, sample some incredible coffee, and purchase some delightful home goods!

Take kids for fun bubble tea

Children of all ages are invited to Willowbridge Shopping Centre to make their own galaxy cookies and intergalactic bubble tea by Tessa’s Bakery and Annie & Co. Tessa’s Bakery is sponsoring the cookies, and Annie & Co. will be offering a range of teas and boba for testing. The kids will be using royal icing to decorate an edible nebula design, rice paper astronauts, and stardust as finishing touches.
