4 Ways to overcome new year fatigue

As we are approaching the end of the year, many people are having troubles to get to the finish line. However, it is also common for some to feel tired and rundown after the holiday season.

Here are some ways to help you overcome to the new year fatigue and help you start your new race on a positive mind suggested by National Sleep Foundation and Mayo Clinic.

Rest and relax: Suggested by National Sleep Foundation- providers of reliable information for well-being – give yourself time to rest and unwind, normalize taking breaks from your normal routine and do something that is enjoyable.

Exercise: Getting some exercise can help you boost your energy levels. The above-mentioned source adds that this does not mean you should join the gym; it could be a normal walk to the park with friends.

Eat Healthy: According to National Sleep Foundation– eating a healthy diet will help your body gain the needed nutrients. However, one should limit the sugar and processed food intake.

Be active: Mayo Clinics- medical publication that providers of health advice- adds that one should make some time to do the activities that make you happy like spending time with your family and friends or starting a new hobby that you like.

Taking care of yourself and trying to overcome the new year fatigue and start the year feeling refreshed and energized. Be kind to yourself, make realistic goals and focus on the progress instead of wanting to be perfect.
