Zambia is one of Africa’s most rewarding safari destinations. With over 10 national parks to the amazing Victoria falls, to man made lakes and so much more. There are enough places to visit in Zambia to keep you going for months, but here are the six priorities when planning your first trip there.

Lake  Kariba

Lake Kariba is the home to many creatures, such as fish species including Tiger fish, Tilapia Bream, Catfish and the mighty Vundu. This largest artificial man made lake is a must see. This place offers a sense of comfort and tranquillity that one needs on vacation.

Livingstone

Livingstone has loads of activities to offer. You can explore the world-famous Victoria Falls  which is one of the most famous places to visit in Zambia.

The presence of these falls has also led to the formation of tropical gardens and brooks in the area that you can explore on foot. The city itself is home to several gardens and picnic spots as well.

Apart from the stunning Victoria Falls, you can also check out places like the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park where zebras and deer roam free and the Livingstone Museum which is a hub of local history, archaeology and ethnography. The Railway Museum is also an interesting attraction that outlines the history of the railway in the area.

And if you are still not yet convinced, you can spend your vacation travelling to the Livingstone Islands from where you get a clear view of the Victoria Falls, exploring the area around this majestic waterfall on foot or hiking through the landscape of Livingstone.

The most beautiful place in all of Africa is the famous Lower Zambezi National Park. It is often considered the epicentre of African wilderness, where herds of elephants, hippos, lions, buffaloes and other animals live in their primal state, in a well-protected ecosystem.

You can also indulge in luxury safaris through the park, stay in some of the best camps and hotels in Africa, catch herds of elephants and zebras roaming the fields and sail on the river and so much more.
