I have never been to the Idols live show before, so when Ford South Africa invited me to experience it first-hand, I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. And, there was a big surprise included in the invite, the Ford EcoSport!
The Ford EcoSport Ride
When the car was delivered, the first thing that caught my attention was the ruby-red colour. The Ford has enhanced this baby SUV to capitalise on the global demand for compact SUVs. The exterior has changed into a bolder look with 16 inch allow wheels, LED daytime running lights and large grille. The car is available in Ambiente, Trend and Titanium models from R264 500.
The interior has also been improved to be more elegant and modern. The car has SYNC3 which is accessed via a 6.5 inch touch screen. The SYNC 3 is compatible with Apple’s Carplay and Android Auto. I easily added my android phone on the system to access my contacts, messages and music, so that I didn’t have to worry about answering the phone while driving. The car drove well and was comfortable without feeling underpowered. The fuel consumption was average.

The idols experience
Firstly, I was excited that it was a live show as I don’t find recorded shows as exciting. I got assigned a front row seat, so I can see clearly and take pictures. The performances were great, and I enjoyed the whole show.
