REVIEW: 15 On Orange Atrium Bar

by Kwanele Mathebula
15 On Orange Atrium Bar

Our features editor Amanda Mtuli enjoyed a tasty brunch at 15 On Orange Atrium Bar in Cape Town. I was invited to experience the bottomless bubbly brunch that 15 on Orange Atrium Bar offers every Sunday from 9 am to 12 pm. I was accompanied by my sister while on a weekend #sistercation in Cape Town – just taking a break from busy Johannesburg.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

15 On Orange Atrium Bar

From the minute we stepped into the hotel with its red carpet and marble entrance that leads to the lift, which has a gold chair inside, we felt like we were about to be treated like royalty. This is because of the luxurious and contemporary design of the hotel. We took a quick picture inside the lift because duh, the golden chair! We stepped out of the lift and into the lobby where the glistening chandelier caught my eye; so gorgeous. We were then greeted by the on-duty manager who led us to the restaurant. We sat by the window, which let in sunlight and a magnificent view of Table Mountain.

THE FOOD

Because we were there for brunch, we stuck to the breakfast buffet which had everything from fresh fruit, an assortment of cheeses and pastries, and of course bottomless champagne. We asked for mimosas because it’s brunch darling! We both opted for poached eggs, which I paired with salmon, mushrooms, camembert cheese and a croissant. After we finished eating, we decided to go sit by the pool deck because the crystal clear water looked beautiful and inviting. Because it was a little chilly, we didn’t swim, but continued to sip our drinks and take in the beauty of the outdoor area. This section is surrounded by a wooden deck, umbrellas and stylish black chairs and tables.

From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us well. And, the food and drinks were delicious. So, whether you want to drink in style or work on deadlines, 15 On Orange Atrium Bar has what you want.
