Cava

This word literally means look. It’s not entirely new because it has been used in township slang from way back; but it has made a comeback and it’s big on Twitter. Example: “Cava the chucks on that girl. They really make her look good.”

On fleek

It is used for something that is on point, on trend or just right. Example: “My style game is on fleek.”

Black Twitter

Black Twitter is an online community of black people that speaks and raises issues affecting them. It has come to be known as a culture, and marketers tap into this community for opinion on issues affecting black people as well as trends in the black community.

This word is used in the place of “though.” Example: “I don’t understand why you’re so sensitive, doe.”

This is short for Last Retweet. Example: “See LRT about why my Tuesday feels like a Monday.”
