Join the festive cheer at Cresta Shopping Centre

by Bridgette Matjuda
Cresta Christmas

The newly renovated shopping centre has been decked out with fairy lights and baubles, making it magical for both the young and old. Also, a life-size fairy lights reindeer and carriage perfect for magical photo moments have been put up in the food and entertainment court.

Activities for you
With over 260 stores to indulge in, Cresta has created a memorable experience for its shoppers. Bring your kids to the family zone in the banking court to enjoy festive craft activities and face painting. The little ones can spend some time with Santa and tell him their wishes. They also get a chance to take photos with him between 10am and 6pm.

For a decadent and magical experience, pop into the #MakeMyMagnumSA pleasure bar in the food and entertainment court. Create your own signature Magnum ice cream, complemented with many delightful toppings for you to indulge in.

Giving back to the community
This time of year is all about giving and generosity, so Cresta has made this easier for you with its charitable festive tree. In the kindness corner – outside FNB bank – is a giant tree bookshelf and reading corner that allows shoppers to donate new or pre-loved books for a children’s home in the Cresta community.
Why not give the gift of literature and education this year, by donating cash (cash or credit card) towards books. In the same area, your children can enjoy being read stories to at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.

It’s in the details
With three gift-wrapping stations around the centre, turn your shopping into beautifully wrapped gifts. And, it’s all for free! Also enjoy performances by dazzling ballerinas and Nutcracker marching bands. Selfie spots around the centre provide photo opportunities and give shoppers the chance to win a R5 000 Cresta gift card when they upload their festive pictures on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #MerryCresta
