As summer starts to settle in, Cape Town bursts into colour this weekend with fashion, music, and cultural events that capture the spirit of the Mother City. Whether you’re a lover of design, live jazz, good food, or outdoor adventures, there’s something happening in every corner of the city.

Indulge in Style at Confections x Collections

Cape Town’s Mount Nelson Hotel transforms into a hub of slow African fashion with Confections x Collections (CxC), a week-long celebration curated by sustainability platform Twyg. Set in the lush gardens of the “Nellie,” this edition showcases visionary designers including Shelley Mokoena of C O N N A D E, Kenyan designer Anil Padia of Yoshita 1967, Luke Radloff of UNI FORM, and Laduma Ngxokolo of MaXhosa Africa.

Each showcase pairs couture with cuisine, featuring a reimagined afternoon tea by Executive Sous Chef Vicky Gurovich. Expect elegance, art, and a toast to African creativity.

Sail Away at the Clipper Race Stopover

The Clipper 2025–26 Round the World Yacht Race has docked at the V&A Waterfront, marking the twelfth time Cape Town hosts this global event. Visitors can step aboard the yachts, meet the crew, and learn what it takes to race 40,000 nautical miles across the globe.

The atmosphere at the marina is electric, with ocean lovers and curious locals mingling against the backdrop of Table Mountain.
