Fun activities

The theme, StandUp4HumanRights, will highlight the work of social justice organisations and the importance of civic activism as well as the universal struggle for freedom and injustices. The four-day festival kicks off on Human Rights Day with exhibition openings and free tours of Constitution Hill. The second day will feature poetry and open-mic sessions. The third day will be filled with live music performances while the last one will see the event ending with a book festival and march titled We the people Walk.

Also available will be a dedicated children’s programme supported by Play Africa, which will offer families unique and interactive play exhibits where parents can discover, explore and connect alongside their little ones. So, instead of spending your public holiday complaining about load shedding or being a couch potato, spend it outdoors learning more about human rights, listening to poetry and dancing at the festival. What’s more? It is absolutely free!

Don’t miss out on all the fun taking place at Constitution Hill located at 11 Kotze Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg.
